Weaving Retreat - Learn to weave on a 4 shaft floor loom

My location is lovely, rural and quiet. There are seven horses across the street grazing. The minute you see them, the pressures of daily life seem to lower!

Come spend a weekend with me. Everything is inclusive. Lodging, meals, all the fiber for your project. All you need to bring is yourself!

We'll plan the project together and I'll teach you to calculate the warp and weft as well as teaching you tips and tricks for successfully warping. You will learn to put a warp on your loom that will ensure smooth sailing while weaving.You will take home with you, a project of placemats or kitchen towels or maybe a table runner.

Arrive Friday morning and leave Sunday afternoon. I'm sure you'll enjoy the surroundings, the subject, like minded new weaving friends and meals and desserts that are all prepared fresh and from scratch.

Even if you're an experienced weaver, you might like the time away from everyday life, and concentrate on a project in a weekend!

There will be down time to walk in the country, read a book, or take a nap. The weekend is meant to be a true retreat. There is a covered porch in the front and a sun deck in the back.

I have two guest rooms. Both are on an upper level of my home. One room has 2 twin beds and the other is a queen. Both rooms have cable tv and a reading chair. Both rooms will share a full bath. Bed linens are a comfortable cotton sheet that is usually line dried for that wonderful outdoor freshness!

Located 1 hour north of Detroit.
2-1/2 hours from Grand Rapids
3-1/2 hours from the Mackinaw Bridge
20 minutes from Flint Bishop Airport.
If you fly in to Flint, I can pick you up and drop you off at the airport.
