16 SHAFT WEAVING - FLY SHUTTLE - COMPUTER DRAFTING
Ever think about weaving on a multi-shaft loom? Or have you purchased an AVL dobby loom used or new and don't know where to begin? Warping and Weaving is an entirely different experience on an AVL, and a little know how goes a long way, saving you the frustration of learning on your own. I have an AVL A-Series 16 shaft, 60 inch loom with a single box fly shuttle, new style auto advance and a cloth storage system.
I'll teach one method of beaming the warp: plain/raddle, sectional/spools or with the AVL warping wheel. You will learn to create a draft in a computer and send it to the dobby.
I'll teach you the nuances of this type of
loom. We'll do any single warp beam
project of your choice, (within the limits
of 400 warp ends). You supply fiber.
One on one. The hands on experience
will give you confidence to use your AVL.
We'll need 3 full days -
